Show on Saturday March 7, 2009

Bob is performing at the Main in Vancouver on Saturday March 7.
Also on the bill is the fabulous Pete Campbell.
Bob and Pete have a long history. They have been players in the Vancouver music scene since the late 80's, when Bob was in the Last Corvairs and Pete fronted The Wardells. Strangely, the two bands only ever shared the stage on one occasion. One glorious night at the Caribou Pub Lounge.

Years later Pete and Bob find themselves sharing the stage once again.
And it will be fun.
Things should start around 9pm.

That John Hiatt show.

Okay so, I opened the John Hiatt Show at the Commodore in Vancouver on Tuesday night (Nov.18).
My apologies for not letting anyone know about it but it was a last minute deal that only came about because Ben Taylor, who is opening the tour, lost his passport and couldn't get into Canada.
Sorry for your misfortune Ben. But thanks for the opportunity to fulfill a dream of mine.

You see, the first time I ever snuck into the Commodore, it was to see John Hiatt open for Graham Parker. and it was amazing. 18 and open to a life changing experience, I had one. Since then I have long been a fan of John's and can now add him to the list of great artists that I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with.

For those of you who missed it, less than 24 hours after the show there was a bootleg of my set on the internet. www.greatwideopen.net/bobkemmis

Next time, I'll try to let you know before it's over.
